Hospitalito friends Dan and Laurie Stern organized a fundraiser this year, and sent Pueblo a Pueblo a nice Christmas card with an encouraging note along with their donation. Laurie and Dan adopted a Tz'utujil child named Diego ("Atico" in Tz'utujil), and had gone down in the summer of 2005 before the mudslide. In the letter they sent us a link to a truely moving story about their trip that appeared on American Public Radio. The audio version is available here, and the text version is here.

Thank you so much for sharing this with us!
